This might be for full time home schooling, short term home schooling (for example between school placements) or after school or additional support via another form of private tuition. Using our extensive experience and advanced assessment techniques, we design your child's study plan based on exact areas of strengths and weaknesses.
We have a firm belief that we can enable children to prosper and flourish whatever their learning environments, and in turn this allows families to take full advantage of their chosen lifestyles. All our tutors are expert teachers and either hold a UK teaching qualification or have been selected for their individual skills and experience. We benchmark our programmes against SATS and private school entrance exams and we give ongoing feedback during each course. Lessons are taught one to one or in small groups and we ensure that our students get as much individual attention as they need.
Our specialist tutors also help many pupils prepare for entrance examinations for independent schools including the 11+ and 13+ exams, to gain places at grammar and independent schools. Our tutors also have extensive experience with students who have special educational needs or learning difficulties, and for those whom English is an additional language.
Both Justin and Vicky have many years of school management and classroom experience. Vicky has been both a head teacher as well as a SENDCo and has guided schools through five successful Ofsted inspections, gaining special mention for school leadership. They can advise parents on individual study programmes, whilst ensuring that pupils follow the necessary curriculum to sit all nationally recognised exams.
Targeted teaching programmes delivered by specialists who understand the specific needs and learning styles of dyslexic and dyscalculic pupils, as well as those with other learning difficulties such as ASD, ADH and ADD. These children are often not able to fully access the curriculum in a classroom setting. Our programmes are designed to give these children the tools and strategies to enable them to learn and succeed.
We provide formal Educational Psychologist assessments, potentially allowing children the possibility of extra time and access arrangements. We also offer standardised testing as well as informal assessments pinpointing markers for dyslexia and dyscalculia. In many cases, a formal diagnosis of dyslexia is not necessary and an informal assessment may be sufficient to form the basis of a learning programme.
My son has been working with Justin since disappointing GCSE mock results. He is dyslexic and struggles with articulating in a way that will help him through exams. Whilst this is at the heart of our flawed education system - we have no option so I specifically looked on the British Dyslexia Association website. Justin has been a revelation for my son - he connects immediately, makes the sessions engaging and interesting and dare I say it, my son actually looked forward to his sessions. Justin works closely with parents, communicates openly, is creative about revision materials and approaches. Regardless of the result, as that was never the sole focus, my son has grown in confidence and Justin has been a huge part of that. Couldn't recommend him highly enough.
Greg is punctual, personable and Louis is finding his sessions very helpful. We would not hesitate to recommend Greg.
